Focus Area: EL Education
Attendees:

Instructional Coaches, Teachers

Phase: Planning

Available July 2024

Overview

The EL Curriculum is designed to support all students to build language and to have opportunities to engage in academic conversations. The EL Language Dives empower students to analyze, understand, and use the language of academic sentences and Conversation Cues are questions that teachers can ask to promote productive and equitable conversation. In this workshop, participants will understand the purpose of Language Dives and Conversation Cues and see what they look like in action, explore curriculum resources, and plan for an upcoming unit and lesson by implementing Language Dives and Conversation Cues.

Outcome

I plan for Module lessons based on curriculum supports and student needs.
