Phase: Planning

Available July 2024

Overview

The EL Curriculum is designed the curriculum with the principles of Writing for Understanding at its core. The Rule of Three is a framework that sets students up for success by offering high levels of support at the beginning of a writing experience and then gradually releasing students to successfully write independently. In this Modules Planning workshop, participants will define the rule of three, explore examples in the curriculum that support students to analyze a model and write a practice piece in preparation for independent writing and plan for the rule of three in an upcoming unit and lesson.

Outcome

I plan for Module lessons based on curriculum supports and student needs.
