Student learning has been shown to be tied directly to their sense of safety, belonging, and respect in their classroom environment. As educators, cultivating this inclusion takes patience, deliberate steps, and a knowledge of how students think and feel. In this 2 hour virtual workshop, we will define what ‘classroom culture’ really means by unpacking its major components so that we can build and refine our classrooms for all students to thrive.
This experience is optimized for classroom teachers K-12, as well as paraprofessionals. With modifications, it can be done for instructional leaders as well.
I cultivate a classroom culture that promotes a student-centered learning environment.
