Overview

When students make constructive behavior and social choices, they’re exercising one of the 5 CASEL competencies: responsible decision-making. We can support students in analyzing the consequences, making decisions that promote collective well-being, and working towards a more just and equitable society. In this virtual workshop, participants will define the meaning and significance of responsible decision-making, explore strategies and activities that foster responsible decision-making in students, and build and get peer feedback on a plan to incorporate this SEL skill into their instruction. All of our activities and resources are grounded in Kikori.
