Overview

For students to become global citizens that have empathy and perspective of diverse backgrounds and cultures, developing social awareness competence is an essential skill. In this course, we will define social awareness, explore strategies that you could try in the classroom to support your students in developing social awareness, and leave with a challenge to intentionally model social awareness strategies for students. This course is designed for K-12 teachers.
