Overview

A staggering amount of educators are leaving the profession, especially new teachers with minimal experience. Early career teachers often find it challenging to create a behavior management system that supports high-quality instructional practices. To do so, many need ongoing support to design student-centered learning experiences through varied instructional methods and strategies and to create effective routines and procedures that enhance culture and learning. When teachers are supported to plan and deliver engaging content and to build an engaging classroom culture, the foundation is laid for a student-centered learning environment that yields improved student outcomes. This 2-hr virtual workshop is designed to equip principals and other instructional leaders with tools and strategies to support some of the specific challenges experienced by early career teachers.
