Overview

The lack of ample representation advocating for students with a wide array of needs in our schools can impact not only their current learning and overall performance, but more saliently, their future options and life’s trajectory. The dimensions of diversity are consistently and rapidly rising.  Some of the most commonly found diverse student groups include, but are not limited to:

  • Racially and culturally diverse learners
  • English learners (ELs)
  • Students with Disabilities
  • Gifted and Talented (GT)

To meet the growing needs of diverse student groups requires educators at every level in the organization, regardless of the values they hold, to work in tandem to ensure student success. This 2-hour virtual workshop is designed to support school leaders in understanding the fundamental elements of the programs serving diverse student group’ needs and determine ways to enhance their leadership practice to support them.
