Overview

To guide instruction, educators need to look at several different types of data, including student work, assessment data, artifacts of learning, and evidence of teacher practice. As a group, a Professional Learning Community can use this data to identify trends and articulate goals.

Outcome

I make use of meaningful data to plan and facilitate professional learning.

Learning Experience

In coaching or a Virtual Workshop, participants will:

  • Define types of data and key considerations
  • Explore examples of how educators can synthesize student and teacher data productively to inform PD
  • Build a plan for how their team can use data to inform instruction and professional learning
