Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools (CMS) is one of the 20 largest districts in the country, serving a diverse student population. From 2019 to 2021, they tackled some of the most common challenges for school systems: implementing a rigorous new curriculum, adapting instruction to distance learning during the pandemic, and building internal capacity for professional development.
BetterLesson worked closely with their district partner on all of these challenges, as both parties responded flexibly to changing needs while always prioritizing student-centered, equitable, flexible learning.
