Instructional Coach, BetterLesson
Jennifer Turner is an instructional coach with BetterLesson with a focus on equity, instructional coaching, teacher leadership, curriculum adoption, and professional learning. She has over 18 years of experience in both New York City Public Schools and Chicago Public Schools as a teacher, instructional coach, central office induction and mentoring director, and instructional support leader. Jennifer was awarded for her excellent teaching practices as a Golden Apple Teacher of Recognition. Jennifer found her love for instructional coaching and literacy best practices during her time in the Columbia University Teacher’s College Master’s program. Since her time at Teacher’s College, she gained experience in leading other teachers in their instructional practices, their teacher leadership skills, and their overall ability to create success for all students. Jennifer spent four successful years developing and growing the Chicago Public Schools New Teacher Induction and Mentoring and has a passion for supporting new educators. Jennifer is committed in her career to positively impacting teachers, leaders, school communities, and most importantly students and striving for equitable education everywhere.
