Overview

Often, in classrooms, students will sit silent when asked if they understand or may not even be aware of what they do or do not understand. Strategic, well-designed checks for understanding based on clear, student-facing learning targets can provide an opportunity for teachers to get insight into their students comprehension of content and make adjustments to their instruction.
