Overview

The Mathematical Language Routines (MLRs) are practical, useful, engaging, and doable routines that teachers can learn and implement in a pretty quick timeframe, which can greatly benefit their students. If teachers fully understand the goals and design of the MLRs, they are more likely to use them with students in a way that contributes to student understanding, engagement, confidence, and language development. In this 2-hour follow-up virtual workshop, teachers experience and build a plan to incorporate a new math language routine with their students.

This workshop should follow Getting Started with Math Language Routines. This workshop will focus on MLR4: Information Gap and MLR5: Co-Craft Questions and Problems.
