With Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) teachers embrace the range of differences in the classroom, allowing learners to shift thoughts and behaviors. Students thrive in classrooms where educators understand their own cultural competence, enact intentional mindset shifts, and practice equity.

Reaching Successful Implementation

Implementing DEI shifts in your district requires alignment and differentiated training for teachers and building leaders. DEI can act as a lens to analyze structures, systems, policies, and beliefs in order to support the development of all students. With ongoing professional support, leaders create inclusive educational ecosystems through distinct phases of implementation and adoption.

Build Your Learning Foundation with the BL Lab

The BL Lab is home to everything educators need for DEI driven professional learning.

Teachers access resources, engage with coaches and measure progress in the classroom.

Instructional leaders use self-directed courses to supplement PLCs, new teacher and paraprofessional support, and offer differentiated learning experiences throughout the school year. Administrators observe a complete view of their school’s professional learning programs, access data on engagement and completion of professional learning activities with ease.

Phases for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Learning

Planning

DEI work gets personal. With a 1:1 Coach, educators define and plan for success in a supportive environment.

1:1 Job Embedded Coaching | Virtual
Educators work with a coach to create sustained shifts in practice aligned to target outcomes using our Try-Measure-Learn approach.

Assess Progress

Progress from professional learning is found in the classroom. We’ll support your assessment through our tried and tested observational Learning Walks.

Learning Walks are a non-evaluative tool. They help instructional leaders identify and celebrate teaching practices that consider diverse learners.

Learning Walk Cycle | In-Person
Leaders can identify evidence of the target outcomes in the classroom and in student learning.

Targeted Support

Our DEI Workshops offer educators targeted learning in a collaborative environment. In two hours, we work together to set DEI goals, identify manageable implementation steps, and create a plan to reflect on results. Now, we’re on our way to a real change in practice and student wellbeing.

Build a Comprehensive Plan, Tailored to your District’s Needs

Change doesn’t come easy. Depending on your district’s size and selected focus areas, the typical implementation timeline is one to three years. Our comprehensive professional learning plans incorporate a variety of learning modalities. By working backwards from the specific changes you want to see in the classroom and engaging with district and school leaders, together we design a solution fully-aligned to your district’s goals.

Focus on Achievable Outcomes

Outcomes are the connecting thread for all of our learning experiences. Each experience ties to an outcome that makes the change in practice tangible and impactful for students and teachers.
